iconWith most of the Central Texas area experiencing extreme drought conditions, it is hard to imagine more than 20 inches of rain falling in a 24-hour period. That is what happened on Sept. 9-10, 1921, when Taylor received 23.11 inches of rain, a national single day rainfall record second only to Thrall’s 38.21 inches.
