Christmas Stroll Street Closings

The 28th Annual Christmas Stroll will be held Dec. 6 from noon to 8 p.m. in downtown Georgetown. The following streets will be closed from Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. to Dec. 6 at 10 p.m.:
- Main Street from 5th Street to 9th Street
- 8th Street from Austin Avenue to Church Street
- 7th Street from Austin Avenue to Church Street
- 6th Street from Austin Avenue to Church Street
- Austin Avenue from 9th Street to 6th Street (only closed Dec. 6, 10 a.m to 10 p.m.)
The Christmas stroll begins with a noon parade around the square and will feature free horse-drawn carriage and hay rides, pictures with Santa, children activities, food and retail vendors, and an outdoor showing of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (2000) at 6:30 p.m. Hosted by the Downtown Georgetown Association, the event is expected to draw up to 30,000 people.
