Many people are choosing to stay close to home this summer to avoid paying the high gas prices. With the opening of 1890 Ranch last October, area residents have more choices.

“The project is continuing to grow and provide a more diverse selection of shopping opportunities for Cedar Park and the surrounding areas,” said Phil Brewer, Cedar Park economic development director.

According to Endeavor Real Estate Group associate Jeff Lahr, much of the success at 1890 Ranch can be attributed to working with the city of Cedar Park. “[The city] has been a great partner,” Lahr said.

1890 Ranch timeline

• City enters into agreement with Endeavor - July 2006
• Ground breaking on west side of development - October 2006
• First store opened - October 2007
• Ground breaking on east side of development - October 2007
• First store to open on the east side - Academy, Aug. 8
• Full build-out upon completion - 850,000 sq. ft.
• Tenants - 89 percent leased on constructed and in-progress buildings
