Autumn is back in full swing, regardless of the temperature reading on the thermometer.
Parents and students are busy with school activities, retailers are already promoting Halloween and Thanksgiving, and families are planning for where to host their holiday gatherings. Most of all, I’m grateful for college football season and getting to watch my favorite team.
Leander Independent School District is already planning for next year’s football season. This month’s corridor takes a look at the school district’s building projects along Park Street. Within this stretch of road, plans are in the works for a regional stadium in addition to future elementary school number 22 and additions to Vista Ridge High School.
As we draw nearer to the winter holidays, families start to budget for extra expenditures incurred at this time of year. Similarly, Cedar Park and Leander are planning their budgets on a grander scale. Both cities have experienced huge growth in the past year with new retail stores and increasing property values. It’s hard to believe that Target and the main anchors in 1890 Ranch have already been open for a year.
There are many local activities for the community to enjoy with the changing seasons. To help plan your family outings, we compiled a fall/winter entertainment guide. From festivals to holiday parades, there are a lot of ways to enjoy the community. Check out our online community calendar for additional events in between issues.
