A new way to report incidents of graffiti is now available to Cedar Park residents online.

To use the new system, residents must log onto www.cedarparktx.us and click on the "report graffiti here" box. The link will direct viewers to a page with directions on how to report graffiti, as well as answering several frequently asked questions. To file a report, fill out the online submission form on the page, and your notification will be directly routed to the Cedar Park Police Department for investigation.

"The City of Cedar Park is making it easier for its residents to report incidents of graffiti," Cedar Park Police Chief Henry Fluck said. "We are hoping that this web site will encourage residents to make prompt notification of this crime to the police. The objective of a timely police report is to enable to police department to initiate a criminal investigation shortly after the incident occurs to increase our chances of solving the crime, identifying the suspect, and apprehending the offender. In addition, the prompt and thorough reporting assists the police department to more effectively direct our police patrols. Finally, measures may then be taken to insure the quick removal of graffiti to improve the quality of life in Cedar Park neighborhoods."
