Leander ISD going green
Leander ISD going green

For many years, Leander Independent School District has supported nonprofit organizations and provided information to parents regarding youth leagues, scouts and other opportunities for students by sending home fliers in take-home folders.
This year, in an effort to be more environmentally friendly, LISD has discontinued this practice and will post the fliers in the LISD website (www.leanderisd.org).
The change will help LISD in several ways: millions of paper copies, more than 2.7 million pages were printed last year, will no longer be necessary, campus volunteers and teachers will be able to devote time once spent stuffing items into folders to other tasks, and LISD will save on printing and shipping costs.
To access the forms, visit www.leanderisd.org and click on the 'Parents and Students' tab on the homepage. Simply select "community fliers" for a listing of current fliers. The link is also available under 'Parent Resources' on all LISD campus websites.
