Texas Stars office opens in Cedar Park

The Texas Stars Hockey Club took another step into the Cedar Park community Oct. 14 by officially opening its marketing office. The Texas Stars, the minor league affiliate of the Dallas Stars, will be the main tenant of the Cedar Park Entertainment Center.

Attendees toured the marketing office and were able to pick out their seats with a $100 deposit for season tickets. Rick McLaughlin, Texas Stars general manager, thanks the crowd gathered at the opening of the Texas Stars marketing office.

City of Cedar Park and Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce officials conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony and Texas Stars general manager Rick McLaughlin thanked the crowd for their support.

Texas Stars

Located at the intersection of New Hope Drive and Toll Road 183A, north of Austin, the Cedar Park Event Center will be a multi-use facility, with 6,800 seats available for hockey and 8,700 for concerts and other events. The center will have 24 suites including four party suites and 545 club seats with a private club lounge. A retail site of 17 acres is adjacent to the facility grounds for mixed-use development that will include 91,000 square feet for retail and 91,000 square feet for commercial use developed by Hicks Cedar Park.
