Dennis Steel earns safety recognition from insurance company

Three employers in the Austin area received Texas Mutual Insurance Company’s top honor for prevention of losses connected with workers’ compensation claims: Leander-based steel fabricator Dennis Steel Inc., Hutto-based road contractor Kothmann Ltd. and Austin-based SACHEM Inc.

To qualify for this honor, a business must demonstrate its commitment to safety by carrying out an exemplary safety program and controlling workers’ compensation losses.

“On-the-job injuries carry monetary and, most importantly, human costs,” said Russell Oliver, president of Texas Mutual Insurance Company. “These honorees have demonstrated a solid commitment to strengthening workplace safety.”
