The leaders of the Dallas Stars made two big announcements Nov. 19. Brett Hull, co-general manager of the team, announced the appointment of Scott White as general manager for the Texas Stars, an American Hockey League team that will play in Cedar Park Center, which is under construction.
Rick McLaughlin, Texas Stars president and Cedar Park Center general manager, announced that Cedar Park Regional Medical Center has become the first founding partner of the center. Cedar Park Regional will provide medical services for the team, according to a press release.
White is no stranger to the Dallas Stars. He is currently the director of minor league hockey operations for the organization. He will be responsible for all of the Texas Stars' day-to-day operations, including recruiting, scouting and assisting with trades and roster moves, and will also work in conjunction with Hull and Dallas Stars Co-General Manager Les Jackson, according to the release.
