Great people are North Austin’s best resource.
You don’t have to look far to find Austin landing on another “Top Cities” list. Through the years, Austin has landed on lists ranging from “Top Cities for Job Seekers” to “Top Cities for Singles.” Visa USA ranked Austin the best city for entrepreneurial ideas, and Forbes ranked us No. 4 on their “Smartest Cities” list.
When the media talks about high-tech hubs, San Jose and Austin always top the lists. If Austin is one of the best places for high-tech companies, then Northwest Austin might be the best area of one of the best cities for this exciting industry.
An astounding 61 high tech companies claim home to Northwest Austin, by far the largest number in any area in Central Texas. Companies choose Northwest Austin because of the area’s talent, resources and quality of life.
An important measure of quality of life in any community is safety, and we cover it extensively this issue.
North Austin neighborhoods are banding together with local police to fight crime with solid results. It’s true that the more we know about our neighbors, the better we can work together, and Community Impact Newspaper strives to help make Northwest Austin feel more like a community.
Reader Annette Kobus helps us think we’re accomplishing this goal when she writes, “I really appreciate the transportation information and historical sections of Community Impact Newspaper. Before this [newspaper] came along, it didn’t feel much like a ‘community.’”
No doubt, our readers help keep Austin ranked No. 3 in our favorite list of all: Travel and Leisure’s “Best People” list.
