These Northwest Austin locations offer free wireless Internet. In addition, the Outdoor Wireless Mesh Project partnership between the City of Austin and Cisco Systems brought wireless Internet to downtown Austin. Starting in the summer of 2006, coverage areas include Central Austin, portions of the east side, Zilker Park and Barton Springs.
