National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Ending Community Homelessness Coalition, a local community planning partnership to address issues of homelessness, announced a series of activities and events to the public to support and participate during the National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week, Nov. 15-21. The events include Austin Stand Down, Art from the Streets, Homeless Memorial Service, movies at the downtown Alamo Drafthouse, blanket and clothing drive and an ECHO Community Forum on homelessness. Visit http://austinecho.org for more information about events in the area. Blankets can be dropped off at ARCH, 500 E. 7th St. Clothing can be dropped off at Salvation Army, 510 E. 8th St.
