1. Heatherwilde Boulevard and Wells Branch Parkway
- Travis County is extending Heatherwilde Boulevard from Wells Branch Parkway to Howard Lane and extending Wells Branch Parkway from Heatherwilde Boulevard to Tudor House Road.
- Timeline: Construction is expected to be complete by summer or fall 2010.
- Cost: $10.6 million
- Funding source: Split six ways among three developers/landowners who are donating the right of way, easements and cash, Northtown Municipal Utility District, Travis County and the City of Austin.
2. Wells Branch Parkway (IH 35 to Heatherwilde Boulevard)
- The City of Austin is widening Wells Branch Parkway to four lanes with a median from IH 35 to Heatherwilde Boulevard.
- Timeline: Construction is expected to be complete in 2010.
- Cost: $7 million
- Funding source: City of Austin
3. Heatherwilde Boulevard (near Toll 45)
- Heatherwilde Boulevard is being widened to four lanes with a median from south of Toll 45 to Wilke Ridge Lane.
- Timeline: Construction is expected to be complete in 2010.
- Cost: $6 million
- Funding source: No funds allocated for construction yet. The Pflugerville City Council has authorized $600,000 for design work.
4. Pflugerville Parkway
- Pflugerville Parkway is being expanded to four lanes with a raised median and extended to Greenlawn Boulevard. Victoria Station Boulevard will also be renamed Pflugerville Parkway.
- Timeline: Construction on the expansion portion of the road project will begin this fall and be completed by summer 2010. If city engineers learn in May that federal dollars are still available for this project, construction to extend the road to Greenlawn Boulevard will also begin this fall and is expected to be complete by the end of 2010.
- Cost: $15 million
- Funding source: Two-thirds of the total project is covered by the City of Pflugerville, and one-third is expected to be covered by federal funding administered by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and TxDOT.
5. Heatherwilde Boulevard exit off Toll 45
- The Texas Department of Transportation is adding a Heatherwilde Boulevard entrance and exit to Toll 45.
- Note: Cars traveling west on the Toll 45 frontage road are forced onto the state highway. The fee to exit Heatherwilde Boulevard from Toll 45 will be 50 cents.
- Timeline: Construction began in March 2007 and was first expected to be finished by the end of March 2008. However, a delay in the delivery of steel for the structure over the toll lanes and bad weather caused construction delays. The ramps are now expected to open in early June.
- Cost: $10 million
- Funding source: TxDOT
6. New Meister Lane
- New Meister Lane is being expanded to four lanes.
- Timeline: Construction is expected to be complete at the end of summer.
- Cost: $1.5 million
- Funding source: Verde Realty, a real estate developer that is building the commercial property off New Meister Lane, is paying for construction, but the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation will reimburse them up to $1.3 million.
7. Schultz Lane
- A portion of Schultz Lane is being relocated, curving it west to connect to A.W. Grimes instead.
- Timeline: Construction will begin this fall and be completed by summer 2010.
- Cost: $700,000
- Funding source: City of Pflugerville
8. FM 1825/Pecan Street
- East Pecan Street is being expanded from FM 685 to Toll 130. The road will be widened to four lanes with a raised median, and the last 5,000 feet of Pecan Street near Toll 130 will be widened to six lanes with a raised median.
- Timeline: Construction is expected to be complete in the summer of 2009.
- Cost: $7.3 million
- Funding source: City of Pflugerville and Travis County
9. Picadilly Drive and Grand Avenue Parkway
- A traffic signal will be installed.
- Timeline: End of the year.
- Cost: $175,000
- Funding source: City of Pflugerville and Travis County
10.Tenth Street
- Tenth Street widened to four lanes with drainage improvements.
- Timeline: Construction is expected to begin this summer.
- Cost: $325,000
- Funding source: City of Pflugerville
