Wells Branch Pkwy. project will connect to SH 130

Travis County and the City of Pflugerville are working to expand Wells Branch Pkwy. from a two-lane roadway into a six-lane divided roadway from Heatherwilde to the Northtown subdivision and eventually to Hwy. 130.

“This project is vital to the city’s east-west transportation,” Charles Simon, assistant city manager, said. “Pecan St. has reached capacity and we’re excited this project will be completed by the end of the year.”

The expansion is projected to finish in late summer or early fall. Travis County is funding almost half of the expansion and private developers and the City of Pflugerville will fund the rest.
