Transportation Report: Pflugerville Road Project

Heatherwilde Blvd. Improvements
- Ruva Paving, LLC, was awarded the contract to resurface the two-lane stretch of road north of Pflugerville Parkway to SH 45 at the Sept. 19 city council meeting. Work will begin by mid-October at night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and open for traffic during the day.

- No plans have been finalized to widen the road.
Pflugerville Parkway East Extension
- Extends the existing road from Railroad Avenue east to FM 685.
- Construction will be completed in early 2007.
- Pflugerville Parkway West project will begin at Greenlawn Blvd. and extend east to FM 685 for 4.2 miles.
- Two 12 ft. lanes in each direction and a raised median.
- 10 ft. hike and bike trail along the north side; 5 ft. sidewalk along the south side of the roadway.
- Funded by STP 4C funds administered by TxDOT and City of Pflugerville funds out for bid in December.
Wells Branch Parkway Plans from Heatherwilde to 10th St.
Travis County/City of Austin project, which will be bid out in November.
Wells Branch Parkway Extension from 10th St. to Immanuel Road
- Four lanes divided with medians and turn lanes.
- A traffic signal will also be installed at the Wells Branch and Dessau Road intersection.
- Road to be completed in May 2007.
