I marvel at the amount of changes that can occur in such a short time.

Before moving to Round Rock two years ago with my husband, we knew little about the area. Our jobs took us here, however, and it was not long before we knew this was a great place to work and raise a family. It is not very often people can live in a nice area and have a commute to work that is less than 10 minutes, but that is true for us here. A few months after arriving, we received the first issue of Community Impact Newspaper, and the story on the toll roads really caught our attention.

We live close by this construction and wondered how long it would take to finish and where the roads would go. We found the information we needed and read each following issue.

Change continues as our story about the possibility of a new ACC campus in Round Rock shows. This paper develops and evolves just as our cities do.

After a year with the newspaper, publisher John Garrett entrusted me with taking over his role as general manager of this publication as he oversees our company’s growth.

I knew I was joining something very special from the beginning, and it has been a joy to see the progress our team has experienced. Every issue, special publication and special guide is more informative and reader-friendly as we learn from each one we produce.

Our mission is to help readers know their community well because understanding more about our cities and ways to enjoy them are the first steps in gaining a better appreciation about the place we call home.
