The largest HEB in Texas will open this winter in Round Rock at 79 and 1460. The store will include an enhanced produce section, meat market, and dairy section, as well as a large ‘cook and grill’ area along with extended baby and entertainment departments.

Beef O’ Brady’s Family Sports Pub opened Oct. 10. Monday Night Football fans can enjoy the game on several TV screens or just relax on their large patio. Members of local sports teams wearing their jerseys will receive a discount. The Pub offers menu items such as wings, burgers, daily happy hours and kids eat free on Tuesdays. 2. Goodwill

A new Goodwill bookstore and donation site is now open at Gattis School Road. This site will not only take donations for Goodwill, but will also sell used books. For more information call 637-7100 or visit www.austingoodwill.org.

3. Annual Banquet

Round Rock Chamber of Commerce will host its annual banquet, Oct. 24, 6 p.m. at the Austin Marriott in La Frontera. A keynote speaker is scheduled and annual awards honoring businesses will be given. Cost is $40 per person. For more information call 255-5805.

4. Calling all Country Music Fans

The First Texas Country Music Festival will feature Jason Boland, Roger Creager, Cooder Graw, Honeybrowne and others. The festival, Nov. 4-5, at Old Settlers Park, will provide food, drinks, and a BBQ cook-off. For more information go to www.texascountrymusicfest.com.

4. Four-Legged Fair

The Round Rock Police Department Animal Control Unit is hosting the third annual Round Rock Animal Health and Education Fair, Sunday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Old Settlers Park Lake View Pavilion. There will be fun pet contests, a pet parade, food and fun for the whole family. For more information contact Round Rock Animal Control at 255-7387.

5. I Spy a New Store in Round Rock

I Spy Antiques and Accents opened Oct. 3, in the same building as the Forest Creek Eye Center. Now while waiting for an eye appointment, browse in the store for Christmas items, candles, home décor, jewelry and more. The store hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

6. New Neighborhood DinerPicture of Hang Town Grill sign

Hang Town Grill off Louis Henna plans to open the first of November serving burgers, pizzas, salads and more. The restaurant will be equipped with several television screens and will offer occasional live music. Kids eat free Monday nights. 7. Attention all Ladies

Christmas Diva Affair happens Oct. 20, from 4-9 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Round Rock. Nine stores will extend their hours for women to kick-off the Christmas season while enjoying live music, food, drinks and shopping. The participating stores include: Silk Cocoon, Beyond the Red Door, Main Street 101, Envy Salon, City Jeans of Texas, Saradora’s, Louisiana Longhorn Café, Keria Teas and Soleil Floors.
