1.Holidays at Heritage ParkImpact Pflugerville map for Nov. 2005

This year’s Holidays at Heritage Park will feature crafts, pictures with Santa, music and more. It takes place Friday, Dec. 9, from
6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at 901 Hutto Rd. Admission is free. Call 251-5082 for more information.

2. Here comes Blue Santa Claus

The annual holiday light parade will be downtown Saturday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. Bring a toy or donation to Blue Santa at the Crime Prevention float. Parade route starts on Railroad Avenue in front of Park Crest Middle School and continues down Main Street.

3. Latest Neighborhood Pharmacy

The City approved the building of another CVS Pharmacy in Pflugerville to be located at 100 Grand Avenue Pkwy. CVS provides prescriptions, health, personal care and gift items. A date to begin building has not been set, but CVS has submitted a site development plan to the City.

4. On the Cutting Edge

Owner and stylist, Brandie Cabral, remodeled her space into a full service salon. Jagged Edge Salon opened, Oct. 7, and is located in downtown Pflugerville at the corner of First St. and Main St. For more information or to make an appointment call 990-8477.

5. Just like Granny Used to Make

The week of Thanksgiving, Granny’s Kitchen opens in downtown Pflugerville at First St. and Pecan St. next to All God’s Creatures. They will serve up home-style cooking such as chicken fried steak, fried chicken and other Granny favorites. Peter and Jeanne Harvey are remodeling the restaurant to have a country/ranch feel.

6. Periwinkles Blooming

Periwinkles is expanding its store. Located in downtown Pflugerville on Pecan Street, it will take over Pecan Lane Miniatures and use the space for Christmas items in December and upscale resale beginning in January.

7. Holiday Glitz Gala 2005

Pflugerville Circle of Pfriends is hosting a Holiday Glitz Gala, Nov. 19, 6:30 p.m.-11 p.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church. There will be a buffet, beer, wine, silent and live auctions, as well as casino games. A $40 donation per person benefiting the Dell Children’s Medical Center is requested. 8. Pfall Pfest

Pflugerville Recreation Center will host an arts and crafts fair Saturday, Nov. 19,

9 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is free for the whole family. For more information call 251-5082.

9. Bella Norte

Two new retailers have been added to the Bella Norte shopping center. Custom Sounds opened, Nov. 1, at IH 35 south of Grand Avenue Pkwy. The new establishment will offer car audio, digital pagers, cell phones, auto security and installations. Ash Tech Systems had its grand opening, Oct. 29. The store sells Sprint, Verizon and
T-Mobile cellular phones.
