3. British cars

The 18th Annual Texas All British Car Day will be held Sept. 28 at the Lakeside Pavilion at Old Settlers Park off of E. A shred day and food drive benefiting the Storehouse of Pflugerville will be held Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Amplify Federal Credit Union at Palm Valley Plaza, 4500 E. 9. Haunted house

Rated America’s scariest haunted house by Lions Gate Films, The Mansion of Terror Haunted House is returning for its fifth season Sept. 19. Located at 2000 S. IH 35 behind Walgreens in Sky Ridge Plaza, The Mansion of Terror will include two unique haunted houses inside the main house. Cost is $18. Round Rock Area Serving Center’s Coats for Kids Drive will begin Sept. 8. Locations around Round Rock will be accepting new and gently used coats to be issued Nov. 1. 2009 city budget

The city of Pflugerville 2009 fiscal budget is scheduled to be discussed at this month’s council meetings and finalized Sept. 23.

21. Toll access

The city of Pflugerville learned Aug. 26 that the Texas Department of Transportation is opening the Heatherwilde Boulevard entrance and exit to Toll 45 on Sept. 10. The project was first expected to be completed in March 2008 has experienced numerous delays because of a delay in the delivery of steel and bad weather. The fee to exit Heatherwilde Boulevard from Toll 45 will be 50 cents.
