Healthcare directory highlights local providers
Healthcare directory highlights local providers

In our first issues, we tried to convey the idea that knowing more about our community was healthy for both residents and businesses. We also hoped to endorse the convenience of shopping and spending locally, thus benefiting our communities.
We continue to receive emails from citizens in Round Rock and Pflugerville that confirm what we believed – the more we know about what is available, the more likely we would try to spend those dollars locally.
Profiling local businesses where we can spend our money is just one way we want to be useful to our readers. As our logo suggests, Community Impact is useful to readers, small business owners, developers, and large corporate decision makers.
This month, we focus on the healthcare industry – one of the most important to our quality of life. We felt that it would be useful to build a local directory of providers with offices in our area. Because of space limitations, we chose to focus on primary care providers, pediatricians and gynecologists only.
As we continue to hear stories of how our paper is helping readers understand their community, helping businesses discuss important issues and shed light on new developments in our community, we will continue with the mission of being a useful newspaper.
Finally, the Concordia relocation to Round Rock is a big deal for our community. In addition to Seton Williamson and the Round Rock Higher Education Center, the Avery family has put together an impressive plan for future development on their land. I am surprised the city of Austin has done little to try to retain the Concordia campus.
As always, your feedback is appreciated. We have included a few more responses we received after our last issue. You can email me at jgarrett@impactnewspaper.com or visit our Web site www.impactnewspaper.com.
