Plans for the new Austin Community College campus were presented Sept. 2 at a Board of Trustees meeting. Phase one includes five buildings laid out in a walkable, campus-style format that accommodates 5,000 students.
Construction is expected to break ground on phase one in the first quarter of 2009 and be complete by the fall of 2010 when ACC plans to begin holding classes there.
The five buildings and programs include: Health Science, General Studies, Library, Applied Technology and a Central Utility Plant.
The Round Rock campus is located on more than 60 acres just south of University Boulevard near CR 112.
Once all phases of construction are complete, ACC expects to accommodate up to 11,500 at the Round Rock campus.
