After rejecting Capital Metro's most recent contract proposal, union workers with the agency will announce whether or not they will strike Friday. While a strike is possible, Capital Metro and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1091 have expressed a desire for continued negotiations.

Should a service interruption occur, Capital Metro plans to continue operating key bus routes serving the busiest routes and major destinations such as hospitals, schools and the central business district from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily. During a strike, no fares will be charged.
